Smart labels: how files get tagged and how to relabel them
Smart labels are tags that make every file in a project quickly recognizable. They show up beside each file in the Documents browser and can be set by you or applied automatically by Camelia.
What the labels are
The label presets are Research, Spec, Design, Legal, Finance, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Misc. When Camelia or a flow saves a file, it picks a sensible label automatically — for example, role-produced documents are labelled by their kind (Research, Analysis, Design, Spec, Legal, Manufacturing), and integration outputs are labelled "Integration."
Relabeling a file
To change a label yourself, open the file's menu in the Documents browser and choose the Label option. You can pick from the presets or type a custom value. The new label is saved and appears as the file's tag right away.
Letting Camelia label for you
The Documents browser has a "Smart Label" action that asks Camelia to label only your unlabelled files — she reads enough of each untagged file to choose the best label and leaves already-labelled files untouched. The broader "Organize" action goes further, setting a consistent label on every file in addition to deduping and refiling.
Why labels matter
Beyond tidiness, labels help features find the right files. Output bundles, for instance, pull together CAD and sourcing documents by what they are. Consistent labels mean the right files end up in the right deliverables, and a crowded folder stays easy to scan at a glance.
