Setting the language Camelia replies in (while the UI stays English)
HIIE lets you choose the language Camelia, the AI copilot, replies in — without changing the language of the interface itself. This is controlled by the language/locale setting in your Account page.
What the language setting does
The language/locale field sets the language Camelia uses when she answers you. Everything else — buttons, menus, section labels, and the rest of the UI — stays in English. So you can keep an English interface while reading Camelia's responses in your preferred language.
Where to set it
Open /account, expand the Settings section, and change the language/locale field. The change is saved to your encrypted account bucket via the account settings API, so it persists across sessions and applies to your conversations with Camelia going forward.
Why it's separated from the UI
Keeping Camelia's reply language independent of the interface language means you don't have to re-learn where controls are or work around a translated UI. You get answers in the language you think in, while navigating the same consistent English layout. This is a deliberate split: locale affects Camelia's output, not the surface chrome.
Good to know
The language setting sits alongside your other editable preferences — organization, timezone, and default model — in the same Settings section, so you can adjust them together in one place.
